Norwood Park Township schedules property tax appeal seminar for August

Norwood Park Township will hold a Property Tax Appeal Seminar on August 4, 2025, at Ridgewood Community High School. The event is scheduled from 5:30 to 7:30 PM and aims to guide residents through the process of filing property tax appeals.

Participants are encouraged to arrive at 5:30 PM for direct meetings with expert analysts. A short presentation is set to begin at 6:00 PM, after which attendees can receive individual help with appeals and questions related to property taxes. Attendees should bring their property tax bill or Property Index Number for reference.

Pre-registration for the seminar is recommended but not required. Information on how to pre-register is available through a QR code or provided link.

Stephens, a Republican, was elected to the Illinois State House in 2019 to represent the state's 20th House District, replacing previous state representative Michael P. McAuliffe.

"Learn how to file your property tax appeal and have your questions answered by a team of expert analysts next Monday, August 4th from 5:30 – 7:30 PM. at Ridgewood Community High School," organizers stated in their announcement.

"Arrive at 5:30 to meet directly with the analysts. A brief presentation begins at 6:00, followed by personal assistance with appeals and property tax-related questions. Remember to bring your property tax bill or Property Index Number!" according to event information.
