The Small Business Development Center (SBDC) and the Small Business Administration (SBA) will offer a free online class on accounting for small businesses. The session is scheduled for Tuesday, October 28, from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. and will be held via Zoom.

This event is part of a three-part financial management series aimed at small business owners and senior managers. Each session in the series covers a different aspect of financial planning and management.

The first class will focus on general accounting practices important for operating a small business. Topics include an overview of basic accounting, how to examine your chart of accounts, reports, and processes, selecting appropriate accounting software, managing cash flow, improving cash collection methods, handling expense payments, and tax planning.

Participants are encouraged to register in advance to secure their spot in the webinar. Organizers state that attendees will gain skills they can use immediately to improve their business decision-making.

"We are excited to offer a series of three online classes on financial management for your business. Each class will take on a different aspect of managing and planning your finances. If you’re a small business owner and/or senior manager these live, 2-hour classes will help you learn important skills and processes you can use right away."

No registration fee is required for these webinars.
