On December 11, 2024, Congressman Krishnamoorthi expressed concern over the potential misuse of power by a president-elect. He stated, "The president-elect should not order his enemies and political opponents to be jailed at will. And those who attacked the seat of our democracy should not have their crimes pardoned."

Later that day, he addressed postal service issues in a separate post. Highlighting financial changes since 2020, he noted that "Six rate increases to first-class Forever stamps since 2020 have increased the price from 55 cents to 73 cents." He criticized Postmaster General DeJoy for declining service standards: "The decreasing service speeds and reliability of the USPS are something Postmaster General DeJoy should not be proud of."

On December 12, 2024, Krishnamoorthi continued his critique regarding postal services management. He remarked on public dissatisfaction with mail delays: "The Postmaster General may not have appreciated the questions he faced, but my neighbors in Des Plaines and Palatine also don't appreciate seeing photos of their mail and packages piled up in post offices because of DeJoy's failed oversight of the USPS."
