Breakthrough Ideas is holding a Rally for Parental Rights in Niles at the White Eagle Convention Center on Wednesday, Aug. 11 from 3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m.
The rally is being held in protest against Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker's mask mandate, with a focus of sending the message to the governor that parents should be allowed to make the choice whether their children wear masks.
"You won't want to miss Tom Devore, who just filed his second lawsuit against Governor Pritzker! This lawsuit was filed over Pritzker's mask mandate on behalf of a parent in Clinton County! Be there tomorrow!" Breakthrough Ideas posted on Instagram.
According to ABC 7, Gov. Pritzker mandated masks for K-12 schools and daycares on August 5, stating in a press release that the mandate will require all students and children in daycare to wear masks. The mandate, which was effective immediately, covers both private and public schools or daycares and only excludes outdoor recreation for athletes and coaches, ABC 7 reported.
Breakthrough Ideas will be joined by Dan Proft and John Anthony the AM-560 morning show host and weekend host, respectively, attorney Devore, Orland Park Mayor Keith Pekau and state Rep. Marty McLaughlin (R-Barrington Hills).
