Analysis: Arlington Heights pays $4.70 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Arlington Heights Police Fund

Taxpayers contributed 82.5 percent of the $6,535,383 the Arlington Heights Police Fund brought in 2018, or $4.70 for every $1 from pension members, according to a North Cook News analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Arlington Heights contributed $5,390,828 to the fund, which saw a $1,388,844 increase in revenue over 2017. Members contributed $1,144,554, or 17.5 percent, in 2018. Another $1 came from other unspecified sources.
