Analysis: Glencoe pays $3.27 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Glencoe Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 76.6 percent of the $1,515,387 the Glencoe Police Pension Fund brought in 2018, or $3.27 for every $1 from pension members, according to a North Cook News analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Glencoe contributed $1,161,172 to the fund, which saw a $188,926 decrease in revenue over 2017. Members contributed $354,214, or 23.4 percent, in 2018. Another $1 came from other unspecified sources.
