Analysis: Glenview pays $4.97 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Glenview Firefighters Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 83.1 percent of the $4,869,388 the Glenview Firefighters Pension Fund brought in 2018, or $4.97 for every $1 from pension members, according to a North Cook News analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Glenview contributed $4,048,725 to the fund, which saw a $231,131 increase in revenue over 2017. Members contributed $814,043, or 16.7 percent, in 2018. Another $6,620 came from other unspecified sources.
