Analysis: Harwood Heights pays $3.31 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Harwood Heights Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 77.9 percent of the $1,076,088 the Harwood Heights Police Pension Fund brought in 2018, or $3.31 for every $1 from pension members, according to a North Cook News analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Harwood Heights contributed $838,466 to the fund, which saw a $33,286 decrease in revenue over 2017. Members contributed $252,680, or 23.5 percent, in 2018.
