Analysis: Morton Grove pays $5.79 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Morton Grove Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 85.1 percent of the $3,167,124 the Morton Grove Police Pension Fund brought in 2018, or $5.79 for every $1 from pension members, according to a North Cook News analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Morton Grove contributed $2,695,291 to the fund, which saw a $389,078 increase in revenue over 2017. Members contributed $465,264, or 14.7 percent, in 2018. Another $6,569 came from other unspecified sources.
