Analysis: Prospect Heights pays $5.37 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Prospect Heights Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 84.5 percent of the $1,332,765 the Prospect Heights Police Pension Fund brought in 2018, or $5.37 for every $1 from pension members, according to a North Cook News analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Prospect Heights contributed $1,125,669 to the fund, which saw a $210,853 increase in revenue over 2017. Members contributed $209,576, or 15.7 percent, in 2018.
