Morton Grove Park District issued the following announcement on Nov. 20.
Board of Park Commissioners Election April 2, 2019
The Administrative Office of the Morton Grove Park District, 6834 Dempster Street, will be open Monday, December 10 at 9:00 am to accept nominating papers for the 2019 Consolidated Election on April 2, 2019, for the following offices:
Three Park Board Commissioner seats:
- 2-six year terms
- 1-two-year term
A lottery will be held on December 20, 2018, at 9:00 am for all simultaneous filings that are filed at 9:00 am on Monday, December 10, 2018, or that are received in the first mail of Monday, December 10, 2018. The lottery will be conducted by the Park Board Secretary in compliance with Illinois/Cook County election procedures which dictate that names will be drawn from a suitable container. The order in which the names are drawn will determine name placement on the ballot for the April 2, 2019 election.
Filing closes on December 17 at 5:00 pm.
January 24, 2019, is the last day for candidates to withdraw their petitions.
