Buffalo Grove Farmer’s Market met April 3. 

Here is the minutes as provided by the commission:

Attendance: Paulette Greenberg, Chuck Posniak, Jackie Beegun, Larry King, Ed Muldoon,( Leah


Pinshower, Josiah) Dave Weidenfeld, Jeff Berman, Peggy Starczowski, Art Malinowski, Brett Robinson

Absent: Sarah Lee

     1) Village policies: Art went over various Village policies including the open meetings act, Brett

          went over purchasing information.

     2) Any new members, no new members. Leah Pinshower will be part time/fill in person.

     3) Chuck- business of the week vendors- 2 businesses have signed up for a total of 7 weeks.

         A potential new vendor was discussed, Yang and Vang produce, but was not approved as there

         are already enough vendors selling the products listed. Peggy will notify them. The number of

         vendors are less than last year, would like to get some more.

     4) Larry- nonprofits- spots are filling up. Peggy had an inquiry about doing voter registration and

         everyone felt both cook and lake counties would need to be represented in order to avoid

         confusion. Peggy will follow up.

     5) Jackie- entertainment- everything is completely booked.

     6) Ed- Facebook/publicity- Ed will continue with Facebook and Village Communications to promote

         the market. Peggy will seek approval for $750 for Facebook advertising.

     7 Paulette- discussed ideas gathered from the FM seminar on 3/14/18. Doing a children’s project

        was discussed, no decision made. Will discuss at next meeting again. Paulette will get pricing on

        sweatshirts and jackets. Will need approval prior to ordering.

     8 Open floor

        Arts commission maybe doing some type of art fair adjacent to but separate from the farmers

        market.

     9 Adjourn 8 :20 pm
