Founder of Wirepoints Inc. says Dabrowski is 'really perfect' for president position

Genbusiness010

Former Illinois Policy VP at the Illinois Policy Institute Ted Dabrowski recently joined Wirepoints Inc. as president of the firm.

It was announced Oct. 23 that Dabrowski joined the news and commentary provider as president. DaBrowski’s role as president will include building out the content, distribution and outreach strategies for Wirepoint Inc.

“Ted is really perfect for Wirepoints," Mark Glennon, the founder of Wirepoints Inc., told North Cook News. "He was already researching and writing about policy topics and, prior to that, had a big career in finance.”

Glennon also commended Dabrowski on his ability to understand multiple facets of the economy and the government.

“People who understand both government and business are very rare, and Ted has it. He can 'connect the dots' between government and the economy, as our tagline says. He also has great media relationships and will be a huge help distributing our work.”

Glennon said when asked about his plans for building the business in North Cook, “We’ve already brought on John Klingner as policy analyst. Like Ted, he was formerly with the Illinois Policy Institute.”

“In the very near term, I expect we will be adding some part-timers and interns, but our exact longer-term plan remains to be decided," Glennon said. "Our focus will continue to be statewide so we will have no particular focus on North Cook, although all of Chicagoland is obviously key to Illinois’ economy and government.”

"I’m excited to contribute to Wirepoints’ vision of offering solutions to Illinois’ many economic and financial problems,” Dabrowski said in a press release issued by the company Oct. 23.

Before working for the Illinois Policy Institute, Dabrowski worked overseas for Citigroup in the company’s Poland and Mexico franchises for 16 years. Dabrowski holds an MBA in finance from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, as well as a master’s degree in public policy from the University of Chicago.
