City of Elgin Heritage Commission Grant Review Subcommittee met April 19.

1. 137 N. Channing Street – Scope of work includes: Replace original deteriorating windows with JeldWen Aurolast Replacement wood windows; paint entire house.
2. 370 E Chicago Street – Staff Approved – Scope of work includes: Exterior repairs, replacement of asphalt wall shingles at 2nd floor with cedar shingles; removal of metal corrugated roof at west elevation stairs; repair/restore windows; replace existing storm windows with wood storms to match the arch in window opening; scrape and paint entire building
3. 278 Douglas Avenue – DRSC April 12, 2016 – Scope of work includes: Remove and replace deteriorated/sunken area of concrete floor on front porch; replace and repair entire front porch wood materials including columns, railing, column bases and caps, ceiling and details; repair, replace 2nd front façade trim and detail, repair siding; paint front of house and new porch; repair masonry foundation on porch.
4. 324 Franklin Boulevard – Staff Approved – Scope of work includes: Restoration of windows; installation of custom wood storm windows.
5. 3 N Liberty Street – DRSC April 11, 2017 – Scope of work includes: Rehabilitation of front porch including new, appropriate balustrade; repair of existing columns to include new column bases (existing bases are beyond repair and not original to home); new tongue and groove 1x4 decking (existing flooring is beyond repair); new stairs with handrails and newel posts to borrow design elements of the original columns; new, appropriate skirting; new roofing (existing roof is beyond repair) that matches the existing in pattern.
6. 371 North Street – DRSC April 11, 2017 – Scope of work includes: Restoration of windows; replacement of gutters with new half-rounds; scrape and paint exterior; repair soffits; rehabilitation of front porch
7. 18 N Porter Street – DRSC April 11, 2017 – Construction of appropriate style garage; installation of half-round gutters; rehabilitation of rear porch
8. 372 N Spring Street – DRSC April 11, 2017 – Rehabilitation of front porch; scrape and paint exterior
9. 120 Tennyson Court – DRSC November 8, 2016 – Rehabilitation of front and side porches; restoration of existing siding; installation of new exterior doors to match style of home; installation of appropriate lighting at porches; installation of new wood window at north elevation bathroom; installation of half-round gutters; scrape and paint entire home; repair existing garage door

4. 826 Douglas Avenue - Staff Approved – Scope of work includes: Rebuild, relevel and restore masonry throughout the exterior salvaging limestone that is in good condition and installation new limestone at areas that are beyond repair
5. 409 DuPage Street – Staff Approved – Scope of work includes: Restoration of windows; restoration of existing storms and replacement of storm windows that are missing to match existing; remove and replace existing gutters to match existing; scrape and paint wood elements
6. 119 Hilton Place – DRSC July 12, 2017 – Scope of work includes: Rehabilitation of front porch to match historic photograph and existing elements; removal of concrete steps and reconstruction of historically appropriate wood steps; prep, prime and paint porch elements

8. 344 St. Charles Street – DRSC February 14, 2017 – Scope of work includes: Rehabilitation of front porch to match historic photograph; rehabilitation of side porch to borrow elements from the front porch design; replacement of seven basement windows that are beyond repair to match the existing original windows exactly
