Judy Chang, lessee, applies for a special use permit for a Business/Vocational School,
Knowledge Systems Institute, in the D3 Downtown Core Development District, which requires a special use permit to operate (Zoning Code Section 6-11- 4-3). The Zoning Board of Appeals makes a recommendation to City Council, the determining body for this case.
B. 115 Dempster Street ZBA 17ZMJV-0021
Paul Janicki, architect, applies for major zoning relief to construct a one-story addition and modify rear dormers in the R1 Single Family Residential District. The applicant proposes a .5’ rear yard setback where 30’ is required (Zoning Code Section 6-8-2-8-A-4) and a 0’ west interior side yard setback where 5’ is required (Zoning Code Section 6-8-2-8-A-3). The Zoning Board of Appeals is the determining body for this case.
