Winter Wonderland Holiday Festival weekend returns to Des Plaines

The Des Plaines Park District will help present the annual Winter Wonderland Holiday Festival 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 3, and Sunday, Dec. 4, at the Frisbie Senior Center,  52 E. Northwest Highway.

Attendees will have the opportunity to take free photos with Santa on both days. Other activities include music, dancing, face painting, magic, model-train displays, crafts, games, story time and food.

The event also will have a holiday crafts and gifts bazaar with items from local artists.

The annual winter food drive for the Des Plaines Self-Help Closet and Pantry also will be held. Those who donate a nonperishable food item will receive free hot cocoa or coffee from the Cumberland Cafe.

Winter Wonderland is also presented by the Des Plaines Chamber of Commerce and the Senior Center.

Admission and parking are free.
