Teska and Associates presented an update on the Rand Road Corridor study at this morning's EDC meeting.

Teska and Associates presented an update on the Rand Road Corridor study to the Mount Prospect Economic Development Commission (EDC) at 8 a.m. today, Jan. 21, in the third-floor executive conference room at Village Hall.

The study includes information from the residents' survey, asking village residents and visitors how they use the Rand Road Corridor. The survey is still open at www.surveymonkey.com.

The Rand Road Corridor Plan incorporates the area between E. Camp McDonald Road and E. Central Road, including the adjacent shopping centers.

The goals of the plan include enhancing traffic flow, improving Pace bus service and encouraging economic development. The village would also like to beautify the landscape and improve the pedestrian and bicycling experience along the corridor. Funding for the project was provided by the Regional Transportation Authority (RTA) and the Village of Mount Prospect.

Members of the public are invited to attend the meeting and share their comments and concerns. The commission will also hear updates on development and business incentives. After the chairman's report, the meeting will be adjourned.
