A noise ordinance to fine airlines in violation of noise limits is on the agenda for discussion at the Park Ridge O'Hare Airport Commission meeting tomorrow, Jan. 20.
The commission will meet at 7 p.m. at City Hall, in the City Council chambers.
The noise ordinance is based on Steve Taber's prior recommendations to reduce noise from Chicago's O'Hare Airport. In addition to the noise ordinance, the commission will review and discuss efforts to publicize the program to add sound insulation to eligible Park Ridge residents' homes. The commission will be updated on the spokesman's articles in an effort to keep residents informed on airport issues.
The commission will also hear updates on the ONCC's general meeting and regarding Fly Quiet, the latest news on the last runway of OMP and enhancements to the airport issues page on the city's website. Although the Main South air quality monitor information has been received, the report is not available yet.
Comments from the aldermen and the general public on non-agenda items will also be heard. All comments should be related to airport issues.
