The Streamwood board of trustees are ready to approve the three-year collective bargaining agreement with Public Works employees on Thursday night.
The labor contract resolution is on the Thursday, Jan. 21, Streamwood board meeting agenda.
Local 909 and the village have negotiated and approved the three-year collective bargaining agreement. The resolution authorizes the village president to execute the contract with AFSCME Local 909, AFL-CIO. While the union represents Public Works employees, it does not represent the director, civil engineer, secretaries or clerical staff.
Also on the agenda is the Motor Fuel Tax (MFT) funds appropriation. The board is requested to approve an appropriation of more than $2 million for 2016 road maintenance projects. The village will open the bidding process for each project before the funds are spent. The bids will include purchasing asphalt and the resurfacing program.
The board will also discuss and potentially approve TVP Color Graphics Inc.'s application to renew the Class 6B property tax abatement for 230 Roma Jean Parkway.
After finishing the regular meeting, the board will adjourn to a closed session to consider personnel matters. This may include appointment, compensation, discipline, performance and dismissal of one or more employees.
