Village of Buffalo Grove Board of Fire and Police Commissioners met May 8.

Minutes of Special Meeting

CALL TO ORDER and ROLL CALL: 

The special meeting was called to order at 4:08pm by Acting Chairman Dryman. Commissioner Dryman, Secretary, called the roll & noted for the record that a quorum was present for the meeting. Present in the Chief’s Conference Room @ the Buffalo Grove Police Department were Commissioners Fishman, Dryman, Blumenthal, & McKee. Police Lieutenant Broussard was also in attendance. Chairman Berman was not in attendance for the meeting.

SPECIAL BUSINESS: NONE

NEW BUSINESS: 

A. Interview of 2 Police Office Lateral Candidates will be conducted in Executive Session

EXECUTIVE SESSION: 

A. A motion was made by Commissioner Blumenthal, seconded by Commissioner Fishman to recess into Executive Session for the purposes of INTERVIEWING at 4:10 pm pursuant to Section 2(C) (1) of the Illinois Open Meetings Act: The Appointment, Employment, Compensation, Discipline, Performance, or Dismissal of Specific Employees of the Public Body or Legal Counsel for the Public Body, Including Hearing Testimony on a Complaint Lodged Against an Employee of the Public Body or Against Legal Counsel for the Public Body to Determine its Validity.

a. Commissioners Dryman, Fishman, McKee, & Blumenthal Berman voted in FAVOR of the motion. The motion PASSED & the Regular BGFPC Meeting was temporarily adjourned for the Executive Session.

RETURN TO OPEN SESSION: 

The meeting was called back to order at 5:11 pm by Acting Chairman Dryman. Commissioner Dryman, Secretary, called the roll & noted for the record that a quorum was present for the meeting. Present in the Chief’s Conference Room were Commissioners Fishman, Dryman, Blumenthal, & McKee.

NEW BUSINESS: 

A. A motion was made by Commissioner Fishman, seconded by Commissioner Blumenthal to approve the oral interview scores and approve the Final Lateral Police Officer Register a. Commissioners Dryman, Fishman, McKee, & Blumenthal voted in FAVOR of the motion. The motion PASSED & the Lateral Police Officer Register will be effective May 9th @ 9am and will remain valid until exhausted.

ADJOURNMENT: 

Commissioner Blumenthal made a motion, seconded by Commissioner Fishman to adjourn the meeting at 5:12pm Commissioners Fishman, Dryman, McKee, & Blumenthal voted in FAVOR of the motion. The motion PASSED & the Special BFPC Meeting was adjourned.
