City of Evanston Transportation and Parking Committee met July 22.

Here is the agenda provided by the committee:

(I) CALL TO ORDER/DECLARATION OF A QUORUM

As the result of an executive order issued by Governor J.B. Pritzker suspending in-person attendance requirements for public meetings, the Transportation and Parking Committee members and City staff will be participating in this meeting remotely. Due to public health concerns, residents will not be able to provide public comments in-person at the meeting. Those wishing to make public comments may submit written comments in advance or sign up to provide public comments by phone or video during the meeting

(II) APPROVAL OF MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING

A. Approval of meeting minutes from June 24, 2020

Staff recommends approval of the June 24, 2020 meeting minutes.

(III) PUBLIC COMMENT

(IV) ITEMS FOR CONSIDERATION

A. Ordinance 77-O-20, Amending Title 10, Chapter 11, Section 10 “Limited Parking” and Title 10, and Chapter 11, Section 12 “Parking Zones” of the Evanston City Code Pertaining to Parking on Greenwood Street Staff recommends amending Title 10, Chapter 11, Section 10 “Limited Parking” and Title 10, and Chapter 11, Section 12 “Parking Zones” of the Evanston City Code , amending parking on Greenwood Street. Greenwood Street will change for 4 hour paid parking to free parking with a 2 hour limit or have a Residential Parking Permit B or C.

(V) ITEMS FOR DISCUSSION

A. Bike Plan Update

The Transportation and Parking Committee requested staff provide an update on work completed since the 2014 Bike Plan Update. This memorandum serves as an update for reference and discussion.

B. Public Outreach for Ridesharing Pick-up/Drop-Off Zones

Staff requests the Transportation and Parking Committee receive the Public Outreach for Ridesharing Pick-up/Drop-off Zones memo for discussion.

(VI) ITEMS FOR COMMUNICATION

A. Transportation Updates

Staff requests the Transportation and Parking Committee review these updates related to transportation and mobility.
