Early voting is underway in the Cook County suburbs.
Registered voters can cast their ballots at the Cook County Clerk’s Office at 69 W. Washington in downtown Chicago and at suburban courthouses. The early voting period runs through Monday, March 16. Hours at all the locations are 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. through Friday, and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, March 14, and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, March 15.
Those who choose to vote ahead of Election Day must bring a valid form of government ID in accordance to state law. Acceptable forms of ID include a current driver's license, a state ID card, a university/college ID or even a passport.
Voters may vote at any polling place within Cook County where early voting is available. According to Patch, voters will use touch screens, and their votes will remain secret and are securely stored.
