Village of Buffalo Grove Board of Fire and Police Commissioners met Nov. 18.

Here is the minutes provided by the board:

CALL TO ORDER and ROLL CALL:

The meeting was called to order at 12:34 p.m. by Chairman Dibbern in the Conference Room at the Arboretum Club in Buffalo Grove, Illinois.

Roll Call:

Commissioner Johnson called the roll and noted for the record that a quorum was present at the meeting.

Present were Chairman Dibbern, Commissioners Fishman, Hartman and Johnson. Also, in attendance was HR Director Art Malinowski.

Approval of Minutes:

There were no minutes to approve at the Special Meeting.

Chairman’s Report:

No report.

Commissioners’ Reports:

No report.

Chiefs’’ Report:

No report.

Questions from the Audience:

Stewart Berman, candidate for Commissioner of the Board of Fire and Police Commissioners was in attendance to observe the meeting. He did not have any questions.

Old Business:

No old business discussed.

New Business:

Chairman Dibbern advised that a discussion will take place in Executive Session to relating review of

Personnel for a Lateral Police Officer candidate.

EXECUTIVE SESSION:

A. A motion was made at 12:35 p.m. by Commissioner Hartman, seconded by Commissioner Fishman, to move to Executive Session to discuss Section 2(C)(1) of the Illinois Open Meetings Act: the Appointment, Employment, Compensation, Discipline, Performance, or Dismissal of Specific Employees of the Public Body or Legal Counsel for the Public Body, Including Hearing Testimony on a Complaint Lodged Against an Employee of the Public Body or Against Legal Counsel for the Public Body to Determine its Validity. Commissioners Fishman, Hartman, Johnson, and Dibbern voted in favor of the motion. The motion passed.

The Commission moved to Executive Session from 12:35 p.m. to 12:40 p.m.

RETURN TO OPEN SESSION:

The open session resumed at 12:40 p.m

Lateral Police Officer Candidate #5: Dawid Wojs. A motion was made by Commissioner Hartman, seconded by Commissioner Fishman, to make a conditional offer of employment to Lateral Police Officer Candidate Wojs. Commissioners Fishman, Hartman, Johnson, and Chairman Dibbern voted in favor of the motion. The motion passed.

ADJOURNMENT:

A motion was made by Commissioner Fishman, seconded by Commissioner Hartman, to adjourn the meeting at 12:42 p.m. All Commissioners present voted in favor of the motion. The motion passed.
