The ACC met on Nov. 12 and approved the Athletico Physical Therapy wall signs.

The Athletico Physical Therapy wall signs on the exterior of the building at 1330 were reviewed and approved at the Nov. 12 Northbrook Architectural Control Commission meeting.

The commission was updated by senior planner Michaela Kohlstedt on the signage and VGO District design standards. A discussion of the zoning requirements followed. The commission determined that the sign at the back of the building should be centered; the applicant concurred with the recommendation.

The commission also revisited the Life Time Fitness mixed-use development at 1000 Skokie Blvd., with the announcement of a formal vote concerning the Dec. 8 board of trustees meeting.

The ACC reviewed and discussed the single-family home elevation applications. It was noted that the 1819 Summerton Place application was incomplete, as it did not have the required number of adjoining homes. The elevations at 2748 Kingston Drive, 1539 Sunset Ridge Drive, 1140 Blackthorn Lane, 2215 Oak Ave. and 515 Alice Drive -- in addition to 1819 Summerton Place, pending verification that the design is different from nearby homes -- were approved.

Commission member Cliff Town abstained from voting on the 2215 Oak Ave. and 515 Alice Drive properties.
