Park Ridge City Council will consider the IDOT resolution at tonight's meeting, Jan. 18.

Park Ridge City Council will consider the IDOT resolution at tonight's meeting, Jan. 18.

The Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) resolution for $1 million will be discussed and possibly approved at the Park Ridge City Council meeting tonight.

The city proposes using the Motor Fuel Tax (MFT) funds to pay for the street resurfacing program. Before the project goes out to bid, IDOT requires approval of a resolution to use the funds.

The 2016/2017 street resurfacing program will resurface 3.7 miles of city streets. Only the streets and highways included in the estimate will be included in the maintenance program paid for with the MFT funds. The opening date for bids is tentatively scheduled for March.

The IDOT resolution approved by City Council can be amended after the city approves the capital budget for 2016. The city clerk will provide a certified statement documenting expenditures and the remaining balance in the account after December.

The public is invited to attend the City Council meeting. It will be held at 7 p.m. today, Jan. 18, in the City Hall Council Chambers at 505 Butler Place. Individuals who require reasonable accommodations in order to attend or participate in the meeting are asked to call 847-318-5205 or TDD 847-318-5252 as soon as possible.
