On March 20, 2025, Congressman Krishnamoorthi tweeted about the need for strategic actions against certain Trump administration policies. He stated, "As I said at my town hall last night, to effectively combat Trump administration policies, we need to shine a light on them, challenge them in court when they violate the law, leverage congressional votes to hold the president in check, and hold the president's allies…"

In another tweet on the same day, he provided an opportunity for constituents who missed his town hall meeting in Schaumburg. He informed them that they could watch it online by saying, "If you weren't able to attend my town hall in Schaumburg last night, you can watch the entire event here: https://t.co/LN5WQeyBEy"

The following day, March 21, 2025, Krishnamoorthi criticized Elon Musk’s stance regarding President Trump's education policy changes. He remarked on Musk's oversight while defending an essential federal agency: "Even if he remembered that there's a 'T' in 'Department of Education,' Musk is still cheerleading President Trump's attempt to eliminate an agency dedicated to helping our kids learn. We need to fight for the millions of students the Department of Education helps every day."
