On March 11, 2025, Congressman Krishnamoorthi highlighted the importance of the bipartisan "Protecting American Industry and Labor from International Trade Crimes Act." He stated that this legislation is necessary to ensure fair competition for American workers and businesses. "Before votes today, I wanted to talk about the bipartisan Protecting American Industry and Labor from International Trade Crimes Act and why we need it to level the playing field for American workers and businesses."

Later that day, he declared his intention to vote against a continuing resolution lacking protections for Medicaid and SNAP. Krishnamoorthi expressed concerns that supporting such a resolution would enable certain individuals to undermine these essential programs. "I’m voting no on today’s continuing resolution... If I were to sign on to this CR... I feel it would empower Donald Trump, Elon Musk, and DOGE to keep up their illegal push to gut these critical programs."

He emphasized education's crucial role in securing a prosperous future while denouncing the administration's approach as reckless.
