Congressman Raja Krishnamoorthi, representing Illinois’ 8th district since 2017, recently shared a series of tweets addressing various political issues. Born in New Delhi and currently residing in Schaumburg, Krishnamoorthi has been an active voice in Congress, succeeding Tammy Duckworth in his role. He is a graduate of Princeton University and Harvard University.

On March 6, 2025, Congressman Krishnamoorthi expressed concern over potential budget cuts affecting veterans' healthcare. In his tweet, he stated: "This would be a slap in the face of everyone who has served our country. Our veterans deserve better than drastic cuts and layoffs that would undermine the critical health care provided by the VA."

Later on the same day, Krishnamoorthi addressed criticism directed at Chicago and Illinois from former President Trump. He tweeted: "Chicagoans and Illinoisans don’t take kindly to smear campaigns. From our groundbreaking quantum industry to our world-famous Pizza and vibrant economy, the Heart of the Heartland won’t stand for President Trump’s attacks."

On March 7, 2025, Congressman Krishnamoorthi highlighted concerns about proposed Medicaid cuts. His tweet read: "It’s official: President Trump and Congressional Republicans have to cut your Medicaid to fund their tax cuts for the wealthy."
