Known for his advocacy and policy interests, Krishnamoorthi took to Twitter to express his concerns about federal funding decisions, extend sympathies following a tragic accident, and discuss the impact of pharmacy benefit managers.
On January 29, 2025, Congressman Krishnamoorthi commented on the recent decision to freeze federal funding. He stated: "The decision to freeze federal funding yesterday was unnecessary and cruel. While I’m relieved at the apparent decision to rescind the measure, the move was dangerous and irresponsible from the start. Given ongoing White House confusion, this fight does not appear to be over."
Following this on January 30, 2025, he addressed a tragic event at DCA by expressing his condolences: "My heart goes out to all those affected by the tragic accident at DCA. I'm praying for everyone on board, their families, and those helping on the scene as we track the situation."
Later that day, Krishnamoorthi discussed issues related to pharmacy benefit managers in Illinois: "Pharmacy benefit managers are raking in enormous profits at the expense of Illinois patients and local and independent pharmacies like Del-Kar Drugs. It was a pleasure to join owner Edwin Muldrow to talk about how Congress should put patients and small businesses first."
