Worldwide terrorism and culture affairs lecturer Brigitte Gabriel is speaking out in opposition of critical race theory teachings while praising radio host and black father Ty Smith for taking a similar stance.
“God bless this brave patriotic father,” Gabriel recently posted on Facebook.
Appearing on Fox News, Smith recently dismissed CRT teachings as “nonsense,” adding “I just call BS on it. I can’t believe that we’re even talking about this because it is a complete lie. Not one white person or system in place kept me from doing what I did, nor has it kept… from any of the kids that I’ve mentored. It hasn’t kept them from graduating and going beyond what the oppressed narrative says we can’t do.”
Gabriel isn’t alone in encouraging parents to take a stand for what they believe in when it comes to CRT.
Former Republican state Rep. Jeanne Ives recently saluted School District 99 parents for taking a similar stance and demanding to be heard.
“Tonight a group of brave parents and residents of D99 school district discussed their opposition to critical race theory instruction in their schools,” Ives said in a post to Facebook. “When a few speakers incorrectly stated that there was a bill mandating it, the superintendent arrogantly asked them to show him the bill.”
Ives suspect it was all part of the plan in making certain CRT supporters get what they want.
“The speakers mixed up the mandate for universities to begin teaching CRTL - Culturally Responsive Teaching and Leading standards as directed by JCAR,” she added. “But they were right that that mandate will flow into the K-12 schools. And they were right that CRTL instructs in CRT.”
