ILLINOIS STATE HOUSE DISTRICT 54: Morrison to Host Free Prescription Drop Off Event

54

Illinois State House District 54 issued the following announcement on July 28

State Representative Tom Morrison (R-Palatine) is partnering with the Palatine Police Department to host a free Prescription Drop Off event. The event will be held on Tuesday, August 18th, at the Palatine Police Department, 595 N. Hicks Road, from 9:00-11:00am.

Rep. Morrison’s event will utilize a drive-thru style system to ensure the health and safety of residents. Attendees are asked to remain in their vehicles, drive through, and hand off their items. Medicines including prescription ointments and patches, pet medications, and vitamins will all be accepted. Needles and any illegal drugs are not permitted. The Palatine Police will be on hand to ensure the proper protocols for disposal are followed.

“This event is a great opportunity for residents to clean out their medicine cabinets and safely dispose of any expired, unwanted, or unused prescriptions,” said Rep. Morrison. “By partnering with our local police department, together we are providing a safe, convenient, and responsible way residents can dispose of certain medicines.”

The event is free and open to the public. With questions, constituents can contact Rep. Morrison’s district office at (847) 202-6584.
