Village of South Barrington President and Board of Trustees met March 23.

CALL TO ORDER

Mayor McCombie called the meeting to order at 12:32 p.m.

ROLL CALL

Deputy Clerk Moeller called roll and a quorum was noted present.

PUBLIC COMMENT 

Mayor McCombie invited members of the public to address the Board. Hearing none, the meeting proceeded with the published agenda items. 

AGENDA ITEMS 

Approval of a Resolution Excluding Emergency Responders of the Village of South Barrington from Certain Provisions of the Families First Coronavirus Response Act: Moved by Trustee Kerman to approval a Resolution Excluding Emergency Responders of the Village of South Barrington from Certain Provisions of the Families First Coronavirus Response Act. Seconded by Trustee Abbate. Roll Call: Trustee Abbate-Aye, Trustee Alvarado-Aye, Trustee Guranovich-Aye, Trustee Kerman-Aye, Trustee Patel-Yay, Trustee Stagno-Aye. Ayes-6, Nays-0. 

Motion carried. Mayor McCombie stated that certain essential employees are exempt from the Families First Coronavirus Response Act (FFCRA) and it included first responders. The Village is charged with passing a resolution which would go into effect federally April 1. Any employees would need to fit certain criteria for FFCRA which includes children being out of school due to closures related to Coronavirus, sick and/or a family member sick with Coronavirus, or being exposed to the Coronavirus before December 31, 2020. 

MAYOR'S DISCUSSION ITEMS

Coronavirus COVID-19: Mayor McCombie asked the Board to listen to a call-in with Senator Durbin's office. The Board listened to Senator Durbin discuss current federal regulations and responses underway in response to the Coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic.

EXECUTIVE SESSION

None.

ADJOURNMENT

There being no further business, Trustee Kerman moved to adjourn the meeting at 1:43 p.m. Seconded by Trustee Stagno. Motion carried by unanimous voice vote.
