Analysis: Northbrook pays $2.11 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Northbrook Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 67.9 percent of the $2,343,638 the Northbrook Police Pension Fund brought in last year, or $2.11 for every $1 from pension members, according to a North Cook News analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Northbrook contributed $1,591,260 to the fund, which saw a $295,508 increase in revenue over 2015. Members contributed $752,378, or 32.1 percent, in 2016.
