Village of Bartlett Public Hearing met November 21.

1. Call To Order:
President Wallace called the Truth in Taxation Public Hearing to order on the above date at 7:00 pm in the Council Chambers.
2. Roll Call
Present: Trustee Camerer, Carbonaro, Deyne, Hopkins, Gabrenya, Reinke, and President Wallace
Absent: None
Also Present: Village Administrator Paula Schumacher, Assistant Village Administrator Scott Skrycki, Finance Director Todd Dowden, Community Development Director Jim Plonczynski, Director of Public Works Dan Dinges, Public Works Engineer Bob Allen, Building Director Brian Goralski, Head Golf Professional Phil Lenz, Chief Patrick Ullrich, Deputy Chief Chuck Snider, Deputy Chief Geoff Pretkelis, Village Attorney Bryan Mraz and Village Clerk Lorna Giless.
Finance Director Todd Dowden stated that this public hearing is for public input on the 2017 Village of Bartlett property tax levy. We have been discussing the tax levy at the last Committee meeting. The proposed Village of Bartlett property tax levy totals $10,933,187. The General Corporate levy is flat from the prior year. Combined with the Police Pension levy, the General Corporate and Police Pension levy have decreased 0.20% from the 2016 extension. The debt service levy has increased 6.20%. In total, the levy has been increased $167,009 or 1.55% from the 2016 extension.
2017 tax rates from Cook, DuPage and Kane Counties will be determined in the spring of 2018 when both counties finalize EAV’s for the 2017 tax levy.
This levy that is presented to the Village Board on December 19th for final approval and the levy will be filed with each county clerk no later than December 26, 2017.
President Wallace asked if any member of the public wished to offer written or oral testimony.

It was moved by Trustee Hopkins to adjourn the Truth in Taxation Public Hearing and was seconded by Trustee Camerer.
