According to an analysis of the federal program by the North Cook News, 1.04 percent of people in Wilmette were receiving food stamps as of April 30.
Wilmette is in ZIP codes 60091 and 60091, which include a total of 54,772 people. Of that number, 752 (1.37 percent) were receiving food stamps as of April 30, up from 726 (1.33 percent) in the fourth quarter of 2015.
