Congressman Raja Krishnamoorthi, representing Illinois' 8th district, has recently shared his views on several critical issues via social media. Krishnamoorthi, who has been serving in the U.S. Congress since 2017 after replacing Tammy Duckworth, addressed concerns about national security and the distribution of vital services.

On November 21, 2024, Congressman Krishnamoorthi emphasized the importance of FBI background checks for cabinet candidates to ensure they are not potentially compromised. He stated that "FBI background checks help determine if a candidate can be potentially compromised, which would threaten our national security. The incoming Trump administration must make all cabinet candidates available for these critical checks."

Later that day, he expressed his opinion on the qualifications necessary for civil servants managing essential services like social security and Medicare. In his tweet, he asserted that "We need serious and competent civil servants in charge of distributing vital services like social security, Medicare, and benefits to our veterans. Not people accused of sexual assault, TV personalities, or both."

On November 22, 2024, Krishnamoorthi commented on legal actions involving pharmacy benefit managers (PBMs) concerning insulin costs. He remarked that "It should come as a surprise to exactly no one that the largest PBMs are suing to stop the FTC from working to lower insulin costs for Americans."
