U.S. House Speaker Paul Ryan hosted a fundraiser for Congressman Bob Dold (R-IL) in Winnetka on August 18. Dold is running against former Congressman Brad Schneider in his bid for re-election.

The fundraiser was held at the Winnetka home of Muneer Satter, a Chicago philanthropist, and cohosted by Ron Gidwitz.
Satter is the founder and chairman of Satter Investment Management, which invests in biotechnology and life sciences, and founder of the Satter Foundation.
Gidwitz is co-founder of GCG Partners, an investment firm, and former president and CEO of Helene Curtis Industries, which was purchased by Unilever for $770 million in 1996.
Money raised at the event went to the Dold for Congress campaign fund, the Illinois Republican State Party, the National Republican Congressional Committee, and Eagle PAC, which supports Dold.
