The Schaumburg Village Board will consider several liquor-license requests, among other items, at its next meeting today at 7 p.m. in Russ Parker Hall.
The new owner of the Pic & Go Food Store, 751 W. Golf Road, Shou Pin Cheng of Myoda Supply Inc., is requesting a Class E liquor license.
Harlan Powell from Webster Powell is requesting a Class F liquor license for a Starbucks at 395 S. Barrington Road. Starbucks is introducing an evening program at this location. The menu will be expanded to include additional food items, beer and wine. There will not be a full-service bar, and the selection of alcoholic beverages is limited to craft beers and wine. The alcoholic beverages will be sold for on-site consumption only.
In addition to the liquor-license requests, the board will hear a request from the Schaumburg Park District for 16 Class D liquor licenses for several upcoming special events, including a Country Fair in June, the Farm to Fork Festival in August, the Schaumburg Professional Firefighters Softball Tournament in September and a Volunteer Holiday Party in December.
