Two code-related public hearings are planned for tomorrow's meeting at City Hall.

Two public hearings will be held tomorrow at the Prospect Heights Plan/Zoning Board of Appeals meeting.

The public is invited to attend and express concerns or support at the meeting, which begins at 7 p.m. tomorrow, Jan. 28. The public hearings will be held at City Hall, 8 N. Elmhurst Road.

The City of Prospect Heights is the first applicant. It is seeking to make text amendments in title five, chapter two of the zoning code. The amendments will delete, change or add definitions. It also seeks to add family community residence as a permitted use in R-1 Single Family Residential District. This will affect title five, chapter six of the code.

Secondly, Bridge Community Church at 302 E. Euclid Ave. is seeking a special use permit in the R-1 Single Family Residential District. According to section 5-6-1B of the zoning code, this is an allowable special use. The church is also seeking a variation for parking lot lighting that exceeds the allowed level in the code. The maximum under the code is three, and the church is asking for 8.5-foot candle level.

The board will also perform an appearance review of Bridge Community Church. It will look over the church's preliminary engineering, preliminary and final plat and appearance review approvals.
