Wilmette Appearance Review Commission recently convened to approve items

The Village of Wilmette, Illinois Appearance Review Commission met earlier this month and approved signage and awnings certificates.

After Chair Tim Sheridan called the commission to order at 7:30 p.m., the commission reviewed and approved the minutes of the Nov. 2 meeting.

Under Continuances, the commission reviewed and discussed the certificates for the IL Center for Digestive and Liver Health, 135 Green Bay Rd., and North Shore Meats, 421 Ridge Rd.

The items under the Consent Agenda, which are approved in one vote, included Byline Bank's ground and wall signs at 3245 Lake Ave., NS Associates' awning at 328 Linden Ave., Trendy Taco's window sign at 1195 Wilmette Ave. and Firefly's awning at 111 Green Bay Rd.

The commission then reviewed and discussed the items under Cases. John Plunkett Interiors, 1600 10th St., applied for a sign variation. The Women's Club, 930 Greenleaf Ave., applied for a certificate.

After public comments, the meeting was adjourned.
