Elgin Planning and Zoning Commission invites residents to comment on new retail building and car wash

The public hearing for a new retail building and car wash will be held at the Elgin, Illinois Planning and Zoning Commission meeting on Jan. 4.

Residents of the city are invited to participate in the public hearing regarding the construction of a new retail building and automated car wash at 1110 through 1190 S. Randall Rd. The building and car wash will be within the Elgin Wal-Mart/Sam's Club Subdivision. The applicant and owner is Richport Property LLC.

Residents who wish to comment on the construction project can print out and submit the response form, found at http://www.cityofelgin.org/DocumentCenter/View/56584. Residents who live in the surrounding neighborhood are requested to mark their addresses on the second page of the response form. 

To have the Planning and Zoning Commission review the responses at the public hearing, residents should return their forms to City of Elgin, 150 Dexter Ct., Elgin, IL 60120 as soon as possible. The hearing will be held during the regular Planning and Zoning Commission meeting on Jan. 4 at 7 p.m. in the City Council Chambers, located in the second floor, North Tower, at the Robert Gilliam Municipal Complex, 150 Dexter Court.
