A ceremonial ribbon cutting was held recently for O’Hare's new Runway 10R/28L and a new south air traffic control tower, attended by Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel, Mount Prospect Mayor Arlene Juracek, Federal Aviation Administration Deputy Administrator Michael Whitaker, Chicago Department of Aviation (CDA) Commissioner Ginger Evans and former U.S. Secretary of Transportation Ray LaHood.
South Korea welcomed U.S. Rep. Robert Dold (R-Dist. 10), who traveled to the Asian nation last week as part of a delegation from the Village of Wheeling and the Korean Cultural Center of Chicago. The delegation discussed efforts to reunite North and South Korean relatives, as well as efforts to boost U.S.-South Korean trade relations.
