The Skokie Village Board is set to hold its next regular meeting on Monday, November 17 at 7:30 p.m. at Village Hall. The agenda for the meeting includes several presentations and recommendations.

One of the key items will be the presentation of the 15th annual Public Health Partners of Excellence Awards. In addition, Dr. Sean Dee, principal engineer from Exponent, an engineering and scientific consulting firm, will present the Investigation Report regarding the Skokie Water Loss Event that occurred in February 2025.

The board will also consider a recommendation for the proposed 2025 Property Tax Levy & Abatement. Another item involves a contract with MKSK Inc. for design development related to streetscape improvements along the Main Street Commercial Corridor.

A site plan approval is up for consideration for a new mixed-use development at 8201-8209 Skokie Blvd., which would include 66 units—six of which are designated as affordable housing at 60 percent of area median income (AMI).

Additionally, there will be a resolution approving and authorizing the Village’s Landmark Statement that recognizes the ancestral homeland of Native peoples. The Plan Commission has also recommended a Special Use Permit for a limited-service restaurant at 3358 Main St.
