Ted Dabrowski, a gubernatorial candidate for Illinois, announced his victory in a Palatine straw poll and outlined his plans on taxes, pensions, and literacy. The statement was made at the Northwest Suburban Republican Township Organizations' Lincoln Day Dinner in Palatine.
"I'm humbled by the support shown to me tonight with my clear victory in the straw poll," said Dabrowski. "It's clear suburban Republicans understand that I'm the best candidate to defeat Gov. Pritzker. Illinois should be a top-5 state for jobs, good wages, education and economic growth. As Governor, I will work to improve Illinois' competitiveness by cutting taxes, reforming pensions and bringing back literacy to Illinois schools."
According to the McHenry County Blog, the event took place at The Cotillion in Palatine on October 20, 2025. It attracted GOP activists and local leaders for speeches, networking, and a straw poll of attendees. The coverage highlighted interest in statewide races and party priorities among suburban Republicans.
