Emily O'Byrn of Barrington, Illinois, has secured a place on the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater Warhawk women's bowling team for the 2025-26 season. O'Byrn is currently studying Mathematics at UW-Whitewater.
The Warhawks are entering their 24th season as an NCAA program and have consistently ranked among the top teams in Division II and III. The team has made three appearances at the NCAA Championship and last season qualified for the United States Bowling Congress Intercollegiate Team Championships.
UW-Whitewater holds second place in Division II/III and ranks 13th among all divisions in the NTCA's Preseason Poll. At the recent Warhawk Classic held October 10-12 in Rockford, Illinois, the team finished sixth. The Warhawks will continue their season later this month at Valparaiso's Windy City Halloween Classic from October 31 to November 2.
The team regularly competes against leading Division I programs and is coached by Rebecca Hagerman, now in her second year. Hagerman is a former National Player of the Year and national champion with Jacksonville State University.
