Philip Jacob Handler: Born July 21, 1908, in Fort Worth, Texas; later lived in Skokie, Illinois.

Philip Jacob Handler, born July 21, 1908, dedicated nearly 40 years to professional football, excelling as a player and coach in Chicago. Handler's career highlights include playing for the Chicago Cardinals, earning four All-Pro honors, and coaching the team to the 1947 NFL Championship. Later, he joined the Chicago Bears, helping them secure the 1963 NFL title. Handler passed away on December 8, 1968, in Skokie, Illinois. His legacy endures through his contributions to the sport and his deep ties to the Chicago area.
