A. “Tent City” Rehousing Update

Objective: Staff will be providing information on the city initiative commenced in mid-January for rehousing residents from “Tent City” to the Lexington Inn & Suites.

B. Andy Frain Security Services at the Lexington Inn & Suites – Amendment to Agreement (Not to Exceed $109,000)

Objective: Amend the existing contract with the city and Andy Frain Security to include security services at Lexington Inn & Suites.

C. Ortho Illinois, 1550 N. Randall Road—Acceptance of Public Improvements and Stormwater Management Easements ($2,421 Estimated Five-Year Maintenance Cost)

Objective: Fulfill the city’s obligation to maintain reliable infrastructure for serving businesses and residents.

D. Bowes Creek Country Club Phase 4C Subdivision—Acceptance of Public Improvements ($29,707 Estimated Five-Year Maintenance Cost)

Objective: Fulfill the city’s obligation to maintain reliable infrastructure for serving businesses and residents.

E. Randall Road and Big Timber Road Intersection Improvement Watermain Relocation— Design Engineering Services Agreement with Hampton, Lenzini and Renwick, Inc. ($151,490)

Objective: Prepare watermain relocation plans, specifications and estimates for insertion into the Kane County Department of Transportation Randall Road and Big Timber Road intersection improvement construction plans.

F. Highland Avenue and Lyle Avenue Roundabout Intersection Design—Engineering Services Agreement for Phase II Engineering Services with Hampton, Lenzini and Renwick, Inc. ($191,125)

Objective: Complete phase II engineering design and construction bidding services to ensure city maintains the schedule required to receive federal STP funding.

G. Amendments to the 2024 Budget Consistent with the Illinois Municipal Budget Law (No Cost)

Objective: Provide budget amendments to reflect actual financial activities undertaken within the 2024 budget.

H. Athletic Facility Improvement Grant Funding ($150,000)

Objective: Provide financial assistance to Elgin-based sports organizations for making capital improvements to city-owned property.

I. Wing Park Clubhouse Design—Amendment No. 2 with FGM Architects, Inc. for RFP 21-058 ($17,500)

Objective: Complete the construction documents phase of construction for a new clubhouse at Wing Park that includes the addition of geothermal heat and cooling pump systems for long term annual cost savings.
