Raja Krishnamoorthi, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Illinois' 8th district since 2017, recently expressed his views on international relations and domestic policies through a series of tweets. Born in New Delhi, India, in 1973, Krishnamoorthi has an academic background from Princeton University and Harvard University. He succeeded Tammy Duckworth in Congress and currently resides in Schaumburg.

On March 3, 2025, Congressman Krishnamoorthi tweeted about the potential consequences of the United States leaving NATO and the UN. He stated that "Leaving NATO would dismantle the greatest alliance in history, abandoning our friends and severely weakening our own security. To leave the UN would be to cede influence to the CCP, Russia, and our other adversaries. Both would be massive mistakes."

In another tweet dated March 4, 2025, he addressed President Trump's decision affecting Ukraine. Krishnamoorthi urged for a reversal of this decision by stating that "President Trump should reverse this decision which will cost Ukrainians their lives. The Ukrainian people deserve a lasting peace, but not one based on President Trump sacrificing their democracy and valor at the altar of Vladimir Putin's brutal regime."

Later on March 4, 2025, Congressman Krishnamoorthi criticized certain domestic policy decisions through another tweet. He commented that "Slashing critical services like Medicaid, placing tariffs on our closest trading partners, and turning our backs on democracies like Ukraine are doing nothing to reassure Americans, safeguard our economy, or strengthen our security."
