Congressman Raja Krishnamoorthi, representing Illinois' 8th district, has shared his views on various political matters through a series of tweets. As a member of the U.S. Congress since 2017, Krishnamoorthi has been vocal about issues concerning national institutions and social programs.

On February 21, 2025, Congressman Krishnamoorthi expressed concerns over President Trump's actions towards the Postal Service. He stated that "President Trump is undermining the Postal Service, its independence, and its core functions that have made it one of our nation's most trusted institutions: delivering the mail, packages, and medication to millions of Americans, no matter where they live."

Later that day, he addressed potential budget cuts by Republicans to health safety-net programs. In his tweet at 13:55 UTC, he remarked that “Republicans are getting worried about how much they'll have to cut from the popular health safety-net program.” He added that Democrats are prepared to collaborate in strengthening essential programs like Medicaid and Medicare while preventing harmful reductions.

In another post on February 21 at 19:48 UTC, Krishnamoorthi paid tribute to John Lewis on what would have been his 85th birthday. He reflected on Lewis's legacy by saying "Not quite a selfie, but I can’t miss the chance to post a #JohnLewisSelfie on what would have been his 85th birthday. John Lewis’s legacy of fighting injustice from the streets to the halls of Congress will live forever. I was proud to know him as a colleague, mentor, and friend."
