Congressman Raja Krishnamoorthi, who has been serving in the U.S. Congress representing Illinois’ 8th district since 2017, shared a series of tweets addressing various topics. Born in New Delhi, India, and residing in Schaumburg, Krishnamoorthi has an educational background from Princeton University and Harvard University.

On February 7, 2025, Congressman Krishnamoorthi tweeted about his recent interaction with midshipmen from the United States Naval Academy at the National Prayer Breakfast. He expressed his pleasure at meeting them by stating "It was great to catch up with some Midshipmen from the United States Naval Academy at the National Prayer Breakfast yesterday morning."

Later that day, he addressed concerns regarding a staff member associated with DOGE. In his tweet posted on February 7, 2025, he stated "Advocating for the return of a racist DOGE staffer who has called for, among other things, wanting to 'normalize Indian hate' is offensive and irresponsible. Hate should have no home at DOGE or anywhere else for that matter." This statement reflects his stance against racism and intolerance.

On February 8, 2025, Congressman Krishnamoorthi paid tribute to Coach Jauron through another tweet. He highlighted Jauron's achievements by mentioning "Coach Jauron had a successful career as a player and coach, proudly representing our shared hometown of Peoria while building a legacy that included an NFL Coach of the Year Award as he took the Bears to the playoffs." This acknowledgment underscores Jauron's contributions to sports and their shared connection to Peoria.
